Are there any secrets out there about how to get the best deals on platinum engagement/bridal sets? We don't have the most money but want to get the most bang for our buck.

I outgrew my wedding rings and am also broke. I was looking at some cheap sets and came across a page called palmbeachforeverfashonablejewlery. The metal type is platinum over sterling silver. What does this mean? Is sterling silver better not under platinum?.
Your other answerers are correct: It is a silver ring that has been coated with a small coat of platinum.
I know this may seem like a desirable option, but I would discourage you from purchasing this type of ring. My husband is a jewelry
