22.05.12
Following a recent home fire, a Denton
family reported fixtures being stolen from their residence.
According to a Denton police report, a
man living in the home located in the 2500 block of Shenandoah Trail told
officers an unknown person stole copper tubing from the walls and ceilings, a
condenser, heating and air-conditioning units and stainless steel shower heads
and bath faucets from his home.
He said a cleaning service entered and
cleaned the home a few weeks ago following a fire at the residence.
The family has stayed in Grapevine since
the fire. The man told police that when he last entered the home March 2
everything appeared in place.
When he and a neighbor returned March 4,
they found the front door had not been secured properly. The home oven had been
removed from the wall and sat in the living room. A custom cabinet sat in the
stairwell, a microwave was removed from the kitchen wall and a hole had been
smashed in the Sheetrock where the family’s refrigerator previously sat,
according to the report.
